Every strong verdict gets a second pass: we open each cited source and confirm it actually supports the claim. Verdicts also need a mix of source types — government data alone is never enough to call something true or false. If a source doesn't hold up, the verdict is downgraded rather than defended. Tap “How we checked this” on any claim to see the full trail.
